The Atlantis Legend
The lure of Atlantis is like the call of a Siren for many.
It’s a vision of a utopian world that was rumored to be technologically and
culturally advanced.
If we believe the tantalizing tidbits that have been
scattered through time and history, then Atlantis was real and existed about
9,000 years before Plato. Since Plato died around 348 BCE, we can date the
existence of Atlantis at approximately 11,000 BCE.
This is rather critical when we consider what was occurring
on a planetary scale at that point in history. Earth was emerging from the
latest Great Ice Age. And, it would have been roughly in a position that placed
it at the opposite side of the Milky Way Galaxy, near the galactic center,
halfway through the orbit of one galactic year, which takes 26,000 years to
complete.
Many people were waiting for the fulfillment of what the
common interpretation of the Mayan prophecy of December 21, 2012 declared.
Words of catastrophic changes on Earth were counted down in a frenzied rush
almost like staring down the oncoming train light while standing in the rail
bed.
The legend of Atlantis that has survived and come down to us
tells of the absolute and immediate destruction of the Atlantean civilization.
What if the prophecy was correct, but the galactic center was at the other side
of the galaxy. Was this what destroyed Atlantis? Was it a burst of radiation
that connected with the power stations of Atlantis, overloading the power grid,
setting of a catastrophic cascade?

technologically advanced, they were able to predict the coming catastrophe and
